Is Chiropractic For Me?

Is Chiropractic For Me?

Chiropractic care is based on the simple philosophy that structure dictates function. And since the spinal cord is how the brain communicates with the body, it is very important that this system is freely flowing, and does not have anything to stop it from sending its very important messages to the body, and back to the brain. If the bones of the spine are misaligned then these messages can be slowed or altered. The job of the chiropractor is to make sure that the joints of the spine are in their proper position and are moving freely. Chiropractic can help anyone who would like to improve their health. Chiropractic is not just for people in pain, but for those who would like to see improvement in every facet of life. This is why most elite athletes use chiropractic care to keep their game at the highest levels. Chiropractic care can make you a better you.

My Method of Treatment

I look at the body as a whole and I find weaknesses by doing advanced muscle testing to see where the problems are. After the weak muscles have been located, I use very specific myofascial release techniques to reduce the pain in the muscles and also remove muscular adhesions, which are causing the muscles to not work properly. From there, adjustments are done to realign spinal joints to allow the nerves to flow freely throughout the body, and also allow the muscles to be in their proper position. I then teach exercise to strengthen the area to keep the problem from coming back. I would like my patients completely out of pain as fast as possible, but show them what to do to keep the problem from coming back.

What Makes My Method Different?

Most chiropractors only do adjustments. They find where the joints are misaligned in the body and adjust the area to help it move better. I like to see the body as a whole, and improve the entire system. Weak muscles that are unable to hold their proper position cannot keep the body structure in line. Also, deconditioned individuals have a difficult time holding the structure of their body together. It is my job to help these people work at their most optimum to improve their body as a whole. I council on proper diet and nutrition, and teach about proper exercise to get the body to work at its fullest potential.
